Chelsea Handler is late night’s bad girl and she rarely holds back when it comes to a good joke. However, after a recent joke at Matt Lauer’s expense, parent company Comcast sent Chelsea’s staff a warning to “lay off” Lauer and Curry jokes.

Either Matt Lauer isn’t as bad as the rumors state he is, or Matt is just trying to make amends. But, it’s currently being reported that Lauer is pushing NBC to allow Ann Curry to be released to take a major job with CNN. 

Is Ann Curry headed to CNN?!? That’s the rumor reported by The New York Post. Supposedly, CNN is trying to woo Ann for the 8PM slot to take over for Anderson Cooper while CNN makes Cooper a permanent globe trotting correspondent. 

The Today Show is still facing some troubles and fall out from the Ann Curry firing. Even though ratings continue to fall, show producer Jim Bell came out saying that the decision to fire Ann Curry was only his and not Matt Lauer’s. Of course, now Bell’s sincerity is being called into question.

Katie Couric might have left The Today Show back in 2006 but she is still outspoken about the firing of Ann Curry. Katie Couric is upset they didn’t give Ann a proper send-off given all of her amazing work and Katie sad she feels sad for the institution. Ratings have not picked up since Ann Curry’s firing and rumors say Matt Lauer is next…
