More news surrounding Matt Lauer and this time it involves Anderson Cooper. Reports have surfaced that NBC recently approached Cooper about taking over for Lauer but Cooper balked at the offer once he learned that Lauer knew nothing of the talks. AC assumed Lauer had given his blessing for Cooper to take over in 2014.

Fans of CNN could be bummed today as news anchor Roland Martin confirms via Twitter that he is leaving the news network. Roland’s last day on air will be April 6.

CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien has announced she will be leaving her morning show Starting Point to begin her own media group and move on to the next stage in her career.

Bad news sports fans, ESPN commentator Rachel Nichols leaves ESPN for CNN and Turner Sports. 

Either Matt Lauer isn’t as bad as the rumors state he is, or Matt is just trying to make amends. But, it’s currently being reported that Lauer is pushing NBC to allow Ann Curry to be released to take a major job with CNN. 

Well, despite 100,000 virtual signatures, Piers Morgan is safe. The White House has rejected the petition to deport Piers Morgan after his gun control rant on CNN.

Is Ann Curry headed to CNN?!? That’s the rumor reported by The New York Post. Supposedly, CNN is trying to woo Ann for the 8PM slot to take over for Anderson Cooper while CNN makes Cooper a permanent globe trotting correspondent.
