While we are sure more clips of the Katie Couric Manti Te’o interview will come, one thing Manti made sure to point out is: he is definitely not gay… Katie only asked because there was speculation that the fake girlfriend was created as a cover story for his teammates and coaches.

Looks like there might be some truth to Manti Te’o’s statement that he knew nothing of the girlfriend hoax at the beginning. A real ex-girlfriend of Manti, Alexandra del Pilar, has come forward stating that when they dated for a few months Manti would mention Kekua and he sounded completely sincere about someone who had recently passed.

In a pre-taped interview between Manti Te’o and Katie Couric, Te’o admits to lying about girlfriend after he learned of her “death”. However, Te’o still states he did not know it was all a hoax.

Diane O’meara confirms that she is the one pictured as the Manti Te’o’s fake girlfriend. The photo was taken from her Facebook page and used without her knowledge by high school classmate Ronaiah Tuiasosopo. Diane is furious and Ronaiah and barely knew him school. Manti will give his first on-air interview to Katie Couric on Thursday.
