Well this is interesting, Team USA Women’s gymnast and gold medalist Gabby Douglas is going to write a memoir at age 16. The book will be called, Grace, Gold, and Glory: My Leap of Faith. Even though she’s only 16 she has been through A LOT already and should be an interesting read!

The road to being a champion is never easy and it appears it was even more difficult for Team USA gymnastics London Olympics gold medalist Gabby Douglas. Gabby revealed to Oprah recently that she was bullied and tormented at her first gym she almost quit the sport at age 14. She wasn’t sure if it was just her skin color that brought all the bullying but it’s what caused her to move to Liang Chow’s gym in Des Moines, Iowa where Shawn Johnson trained.

Team USA gymnast Gabby Douglas has sure made her presence known at the London Olympics and even her journey to London was an Olympic trial. Gabby talked recently to the New York Post about how her family is essentially broke and father left them at an early age.
